Like many tennis fans, I waited what felt like an eternity for a new Top Spin game, and at many points, I was sure we’d never get one. You can imagine my surprise when Top Spin 2K25 suddenly launched earlier in the year. While it isn’t everything I was hoping for as a sequel to maybe the best tennis game ever made, its current price ahead of Prime Day is more than worth it.Down from its launch price of $69.99 which I bought it for, Amazon is running a discount ahead of its big Prime Day sale that slices it down to $38.89. Personally, I’m a bit miffed at how limited its roster is compared to some other tennis games on the market these days, but its gameplay feels superior by far, and that’s why I’d happily recommend it for this kind of price. From the price history data I’m seeing, Top Spin 2K25’s cost has been slowly falling since launch, and besides a very brief stint in August when it bounced down to $29, this is the lowest it’s been. With more content being added by the developers, this Prime Day PS5 deal presents a good time to grab a racket and hit the virtual courts.Top Spin 2K25 | $69.99 $38.89 at Amazon

Metaphor: ReFantazio’s UI design has looked absolutely stunning from the jump, and that menu design has been impressive even by the lofty standards of the veteran Persona developers’ own work. As it turns out, getting this stuff right is “really annoying.””In general, the way most game developers make UI is very simple,” director Katsura Hashino tells The Verge. “That’s what we try to do as well — we try to keep things simple, practical, and usable. But maybe the reason that we’ve achieved both [functionality and beauty] is that we have unique designs that we make for each and every menu. This is actually really annoying to do. We have separate programs running for each of them as well. Whether it’s the shop menu or the main menu, when you open them up there’s a whole separate program running and a separate design that goes into making it. It takes a lot of time.”In an interview with GamesRadar+ earlier this year, Hashino said that the team has “been really focused on making really good UI since Persona 3,” noting that because RPGs focus “so heavily on equipment and party setup and skills and using all these menus” they deserve much more TLC in menu de…

Our Silent Hill 2 Remake tips and tricks have every piece of advice we wish we’d known before we sent James moseying into town. With a mix of advice on puzzles, exploration, combat and general survival, Silent Hill 2 can be pretty ruthless for the unprepared, especially when a four-legged mannequin springs on you out of the shadows like a jumping spider, but our help can make it a lot easier to get used to what’s lurking in the mist beyond. Killing enemies gets you nothing but peace of mind Killing enemies in Silent Hill 2 never gets you any reward beyond making the area safer. You’ll likely have to kill all the foes you come across when you’re in confined areas for your own safety, but when you’re exploring the town it’s far easier to creep or sprint past them – and considering you only ever go into those fights with everything to lose and nothing to gain, you might as well do just that.
